COLIN MARSHALL

It’s an honour to be included in the 40th Anniversary celebrations for Local Hero, which has always been my favourite film since I first saw it when I was just 20!

I first visited Pennan 10 years ago as part of a bucket list and immediately fell in love with the village, just like Mac did, it was simply enchanting. I have been a regular visitor ever since and last year my wife and I were lucky enough to buy Ship Cottage so we can now call ourselves residents!

Ive always loved painting and drawing, I am self taught, painting mainly for pleasure. Pennan has inspired me and my love for landscapes, it really is an artists dream.

I hope that my work in some way goes to help the preservation of this beautiful village and harbour. This is a first for me, having never exhibited before, I hope my work brings someone joy.
