I am delighted to be included in the 40th anniversary celebrations of Local Hero.

I have been a regular visitor to Pennan since my sister bought a house there and have spent many hours sketching and painting in the village and surrounding area. 

Pennan also offered me my first opportunity to exhibit and sell my work thanks to Brenda Kutchinsky, proprietor of The Pennan Hotel.

I am passionate about the conservation of small local harbours for future generations to visit and enjoy, (Baden would have approved - Pennan’s last Harbour Master) having recently contributed to the purchase of net sheds in Cadgwith Cove in Cornwall.

These beautiful stone sheds will remain in daily use by the local fishermen.
